Differences between Botox & Juvéderm fillers
Purpose
Botox : Temporarily improves the appearance of moderate to severe forehead lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines in adults over 18.
Juvéderm : There are five different types of fillers that temporarily add volume to areas of the face such as lips, chin, nasolabial folds, and cheeks in adults over 21.
Treatment Areas
Botox : Crow’s feet, forehead lines, and frown lines.
Juvéderm : Lips, folds around the nose and mouth, cheeks, and chin.
Duration
Botox : Can last up to 3-4 months for moderate to severe frown lines.
Juvéderm : Varies by product. For example Juvéderm Voluma XC can last up to one year in the chin and two years in the cheeks with optimal treatment.

What were common side effects seen in clinical studies?
In studies for forehead lines, 9% of patients experienced headache, 2% had brow drooping, and 2% had eyelid drooping. In the frown line studies, 3% of patients experienced eyelid drooping, and in the crow’s feet studies, 1% of patients experienced eyelid swelling. Other possible side effects include: discomfort or pain at the injection site; headache; and eye problems: double vision, blurred vision, drooping eyelids, dry eyes, and swelling of your eyelids.
